Description
Join me on this real-time streaming Online Experience. I will introduce you to the highlights of the Modena - a town known, amongst other things, for its traditional balsamic vinegar and as the site where the famous Ferrari cars were founded.
We will begin our tour from Piazza Grande, which in 1997 became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the Cathedral and the Ghirlandina Tower. Through the signs left by so many centuries, we will read the Duomo as if it were a “Stone book”. Then, we will cross the Via Emilia, the oldest street of Modena, built by the Romans in 187 B.C., to make our way to the former Jewish Ghetto via Blasia. Here, we will explore many historical transformations through the ages from what traces they have left behind.
Next on our list is the marvellous Piazza Roma, which the prestigious Este family chose as their home. Modena has been the capital of their dukedom for three centuries, and they gifted the city with authentic beauty, which we can still admire today. With the gorgeous view out from the Piazza, we will end our tour - until we meet again!
