Begin the tour by meeting the certified English-speaking Bologna guide at Via dell’Indipendenza 69a at the meeting time.
The first stop is Manifattura delle Arti, the hi-tech and cultural centre of the city.
Hear the tale of the medieval port of Bologna and the historical relevance of the water canals that are now under the city.
Arrive at the beautifully preserved Prendiparte Tower, head towards the old Jewish ghetto of Bologna and learn about the community that resides there.
Bike towards the two towers, the main symbol of the city of Bologna and then move towards Piazza Maggiore.
From Piazza Maggiore, move on to see the Palazzo d'Accursio, the amazing Cathedral of San Petronio, the fountain of the Neptune and the majestic palace of King Enzo.
Ride to the Church of St. Domenico, where the remains of the Saint rest as well as masterpiece sculptures like Nicola P Pisano, Niccolò dell'Arca, and also Michelangelo.
Towards the end of the tour, visit Via Piella, where you can see that the water canals from the medieval age are still visible.
The tour ends where it started, Via dell’Indipendenza 69a.
